Journal Entry
November 13
Today was great! First, I met a boy named Aidan and he put me in a cozy turkey farm house. Next, Aidan carried me on a big, yellow school bus. The bus took Aidan to meet a lady, he said she was his Mom. We got off the bus and went in a big, warm house. I was a little nervous, but Aidan's Mom said they would take good care of me. Later, I'll meet Aidan's Dad when he gets home from work. I'm going to spend the whole night with Aidan's family. I wish all days could be like today.

Today I had a great day, but I missed my new friend Aidan during the sleepover. It was fun though to spend time in the classroom with all of my turkey friends. We played lots of turkey games and when the lights went off, we were not afraid of the dark. I had a very good sleep in my turkey house.
November 15
When all the children arrived in the classroom, I was so excited to see Aidan. I also got to watch a video of turkeys singing. It was really fun. Next, I was so happy to be back home at Aidan's house. Aidan went to Karate, but I was able to see him afterwards.
November 16
I had an awesome Friday! Nobody was home, so I explored the house. I played with all of Aidan's toys and then took a nap, because that was exhausting. Before Aidan got home, I snuck back to my turkey house. When Aidan came home he never knew that I did all that playing!
November 19
Today I got some incredible news. Aidan's family does not eat turkey for Thanksgiving! They will eat steak instead. The family will have 5 days off and I will too. I will get to watch Aidan and his Dad play Wii tonight.
November 20
I couldn't wait for Aidan to get home from school so we could start our Thanksgiving vacation. Unfortunately he had to go to Karate and I couln't come with. When he returned I saw that he had earned a yellow tip on his white belt because he passed the test for blocks. I felt so proud of him. We were both exhausted and fell asleep early.

You shouldn't eat me for Thanksgiving. Firstly, I actually don't look good to eat. Can you imagine me sitting on your plate?. Second of all, I am so cute and I'm sure you wouldn't want to hurt me. Would you? And finally, I don't taste quite as good as beef. Perhaps you should have steak for Thanksgiving.
